Easy-Off Oven Cleaner Instructions

Easy-Off Oven Cleaner Instructions

The easiest way to clean an oven is to deal with the mess as soon as possible once the oven is cool. If foods bubble over or spill during the baking process, however, that mess will most likely bake onto the oven floor before the oven is cool enough to clean. Easy-Off Fume Free Oven Cleaner can be used for spot cleaning or for cleaning the entire inside of the oven. With this product, either type of cleaning should be done in a cold oven.

For spot cleaning, hold the can upright and spray the spills from about 12 inches away. Allow the oven cleaner spray to work for a minute or so, then wipe the area with a damp sponge. If treating multiple spots, rinse the sponge out as needed. Avoid rubbing your eyes after using this product as it may cause irritation. Wash your hands after you’ve cleaned the oven.

For deep cleaning, hold the can upright and spray the inside of the oven, starting with the top, then the sides and finally the bottom. Close the oven door and wait at least 2 hours before wiping the spray away with a damp sponge. For tough greasy spills, wait up to 24 hours before wiping the spray away with a damp sponge, rinsing it frequently. Don’t turn the oven on or use the self-cleaning feature at any time while using Easy-Off Fume Free Cleaner.

Heavy-Duty Oven Cleaner Instructions

Easy-Off’s more powerful Heavy Duty Oven Cleaner is designed for greasy spills. Like the Fume Free Oven Cleaner, this product can be used for spot cleaning and complete oven cleaning. Wear rubber gloves while using this product for both spot cleaning and deep cleaning. For easier cleaning of the oven racks, remove them from the oven and spray them outdoors atop sheets of newspaper.

For spot cleaning, hold the can upright and spray the affected areas from about 12 inches away. Wait 1 minute, then wipe the spray away with a damp sponge. For tougher stains, wait a couple of hours before wiping up the spray. Remove the spray nozzle top and rinse it after use. Dry it and then put it back on the spray can.
For deep cleaning, preheat the oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, then turn it off. Place scrap cardboard or newspaper on the floor beneath the bottom edge of the open oven door to protect the floor from overspray and runoff. Hold the can upright and spray the inside of the oven, starting at the top, then spray the sides and bottom of the oven. Close the oven door and wait at least 10 minutes before wiping the oven cleaner off with a damp sponge. Rinse and dry the spray nozzle top after use.
